The Word 7

“The Word” (5,6,7,8 &9) is a series of compositions completed in 2013. honouring the Lindisfarne Gospels. It relates to St Cuthbert’s journey from Lindisfarne to Durham. It takes its theme from the old as well as the new testament in the Christian story. It also celebrates the written word, printing, the growth of literacy and books. The series also inspired a poem, “In Principio erat Verbum”.
